An American Son, A Memoir by Marco Rubio. Rubio and his family lived in Las Vegas for six years when he was eight to age fourteen. Since he lived in a neighborhood with several Mormon families, he joined the Mormon church for three years and then later returned to his original Catholicism. He and his family lived in a modest home, on a corner in a cul-de-sac in north-eastern Las Vegas, a few blocks north of Freedom Park.
Rubio has lived an interesting life so far, but he is a poor chronicler of that life. My suggestion to him is that he hire a ghostwriter to help with his next book if he decides to be a candidate for president at any time in the future. Since he is only aged 43 now, he has plenty of time to be a candidate during the next twenty years or so. Unless you are a dyed-in-the-wool fan of Rubio, I suggest giving this book a miss.
Rubio won election to the Senate with 49% of the vote in 2010 in a three person race. He will up for re-election in 2016.
